Focusing on the long standing role that water has played in the entry, and wanting to emphasize the importance of water not only for the desert but for all ecosystems, we created a water themed entry experience that transitions from the urban dramatically and presents a “wow” factor that sets guests expectations for the experience ahead. Colorful, multi-sensory exhibits were designed that grab visitor’s attention and get their curiosity moving. New technology and multi-media presentations highlight the Zoo as dynamic and innovative. The interactive exhibits showcase the Zoo’s advocacy in creating and maintaining sustainable relationships. At the same time the entry way had to be designed to efficiently move visitors both into and out of the Zoo. The colorful movements of the entry exhibits help maintain a sense of movement that leads guests farther into the Zoo experience. The space is designed to accommodate those exiting the Zoo as well giving a long lasting impression of their visit. |
