We were asked to design a mixed-use center that excelled at meting the needs of its various guests. Our plan starts with a typical arterial commerical center and morphs it to embrace three condo buildings to the east. The condo buildings are positioned to take advantage of mountain and city light views while providing a backdrop to the commercial center, anchoring it with a small formal park and iconic building at the midpoint of the site. The southern end of the mixed-use site is anchored by a multi-story hotel which takes advantage of opening between the residiental buildings to capture mountain views as well as proximity to the city regional park to the south and surrounding restaraunts. This plan comes together to provied a new take on what have typically been three very seperate and distinct uses. |
