Although not the focus of our work, we are often asked to assist in formal landscape design. Our love and understanding of the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert and the experience we have gained exploring formal garden settings in Mexico and Europe, give us a unique ability to blend both form and function into elegant landscapes. |

These residential landscapes were created for typical suburban tract homes. The resort like landscapes incorporate a complex three level watering system to minimize water use, while allowing for turf, hedges and potted plants in a very tight space. Desert plants are used throughout to be authentic to the gardens' regional setting with cactus and succulents used like bouquets in large, hedge anchoring pots. The results are garden settings hailed by passersby as the most beautiful in the neighborhood. |

A client of ours, an avid gardener, asked us to assist with plans for the landscape of her new home. The plan included a sunken flower and vegetable garden, a grand ascending symmetrical entry to show off the architecture of the home, a small citrus grove with walking path, meditation garden with bird and butterfly attracting hedges, an auto court, a play area for the grand kids and a step down oval lawn crowned with a ramada for their daughter's weddings. |
